I don't run out of pods anymore. Frequently, WalMart was sold out of the dark roast pods. #5: It is so convenient.
#1: This subscription is the cheapest way to purchase pods that I've found. #3: When I go to WalMart, I will spend more money than just for pods, thus I eliminate any impulse buying. In these days when we're all trimming our budget, buying my Senseo pods this way saves me quite a few bucks.
#4: Free delivery and no tax just sweetens the pot. I am SOLD on this subscription arrangement. I paid $4.24 per box at WalMart, which is the lowest price in my area.
This way, it is $3.94 #2: It saves me a trip to WalMart, thus saving gas.
They make an excellent cup of strong, flavorful coffee. I love Senseo's coffee pods.
At just $.45 per cup, I have the best coffee in town every day. The Senseo Dark Roast pods onlong with the Philips Senseo coffee maker are a staple at my house. It's by far the best investment I've made in my one vice, quality coffee by the cup.
Many of the pods listed below are around 30¢ per pod, while the Senseo pods are over 31¢. Having had the opportunity to taste a variety of pods, I hope the list below of my favorites is helpful. Many of these are also much better coffee at a lower price. Everyone I know that uses a pod brewer at home or work loves it. It is a shame that so many settle for the coffee pods made by big commerical roasters like Melitta and Douwe Egberts. Fresh coffee made to order, endless variety, no waste, etc. The blends used by these big companies are bland and boring compared to all the great coffees offered by smaller roasters.
You just can't beat that. The dark roast is my favorite Senseo coffee. The price has gone up in the local grocery stores, so buying it online from Amazon has actually been cheaper.
